Mary Knoll, Artistic Director:

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, Mary now lives, writes and performs in the San Francisco Bay Area.  Mary’s play, AMORE was named a semi-finalist in the “Next Generations Playwrighting Contest” with Reverie Productions in New York City.  Her play, MEMOIR OF A BAR ROOM FLOOSY was produced at The Exit in San Francisco and her rewrite of a Grand Guignol play, THE MASQUERADE was produced with “Thrillpeddlers” in San Francisco.  Mary is an Associate Playwright with 3Girls Theatre Company.  She was a member of the Monday Night Group, a playwriting group in San Francisco, and presently participates with a Writing Salon in Pacifica.  She has performed throughout the Midwest as well as the San Francisco Bay Area for over 25 years. Mary’s performances have received the Critics Choice Award in St. Louis and the Bay Area Theatre Critics Award in the Bay Area.  She holds a BA in English Literature with a Creative Writing Emphasis from the University of Missouri in St. Louis.  She is married to Tim Hendrixson and is also a member of Actors’ Equity Association.

Tim Hendrixson, Artistic Director:

Tim has worked throughout the Bay Area with theatres including A.C.T, San Francisco Shakespeare Festival, Theatreworks, San Jose Stage Company, Theatre Rhinoceros and The Willows.  Tim has occasionally directed for over thirty years for such companies as: The Asylum Theatre, Tallahassee, FL, MUNY/Student Theatre Project, St. Louis, MO, Upstart Stage and Actors Reading Writers in Berkeley, CA, among a few others.  Tim is also a produced playwright and has been a member of the Actors’ Equity Association for 28 years.  Tim and his wife Mary Knoll are co-founders of The People’s Theatre.

Ben Knoll, Artistic Associate: 

Is just happy to be here!  He is a Bay Area actor, writer, director, has worked with the Willows, Custom Made Theatre Company, 42nd Street Moon, and Third Child Productions.  He is also a professional bear fighter.
